Crock Pot Beef Stew
1 lb. stewing beef, cubed
4 c water
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1 medion onion, sliced
1 small bay leaf
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
pinch of allspice
1 tsp sugar
6 carrots, quartered
3 potatoes, cubed
1 c cold water
1/2 c flour
3 drops meat extract
Place the beef in the slowcooker. Add water, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, bay leaf, salt, pepper, allspice, sugar, carrots, and potatoes. Cook on high for 8 hours. Remove and discard bay leaf. Before serving, combine cold water and flour until thoroughly mixed. Add to the stew and cook on high until thick. Add meat extract; stir to combine and serve. Serves 6.
